I’m an aspiring romance author who loves the Regency Era. I don’t have any of my writing published yet, but I’m working to change that! I’ve been writing since the fall of 2007 and have one manuscript that I hope to take on an agent search in 2012 and another that’s close to finished. In the meantime, I’ve been collecting a lot of research and answering questions about the sub-genre which led to my Regency Primer Series.
I’m not an extrovert, but I play one on-line. If you’re wondering who “Kaige” is, that’s me… in college my initials were K.J. and a friend slurred them to sound like “cage”. Another friend just assumed it was spelled more like Paige and that was my online persona for years. I have embraced online networking through twitter and am branching out into real world groups like RWA on the national and local level here in San Diego and I also joined the Beau Monde online chapter which specializes in Regency Romance. So if you see me standing around looking lost at Nationals, please, take pity on me!
My background is in business, economics and game design, which just might explain my heavily theoretical tendencies. Puzzles were made to be solved and plots seem like they’re just huge puzzles waiting to be conquered. Must. Solve. Puzzle.
I’m also stay at home mom with two teens. Talk about conflict! Sitting around waiting to pick them up, I find a lot of free time to read. I love romance novels, especially historical romance set in the Regency period as well as ones about Highlanders and Pirates. I used to read Westerns as well, but they haven’t called as loudly in quite some time. I’ve also been known to read some contemporaries, young adult novels (Just say NO to sparkly vampires!) and some urban fantasy as well. The important thing for me is the Happy Ever After.
I had been trying to track everything I read on GoodReads.com and tagging it with the current year. You can look at my version of my reading list, or you can visit my GoodReads profile.
My grandfather was a professional photographer and the shutterbug runs in the family. I have a new digital camera and I plan to use it! A couple friends and I are doing a 366 Photo Challenge for 2012. (Flickr set usually updated daily and blog category updated weekly)

Can’t wait to hear about you!
What a pretty blog Kaige, thanks for dropping by my blog and adding me to your list.

I’m a NaNoWriMo too! Maybe we can be writing buddies next November.
Thank you so much for your wonderful links page. I’ve spent the last two weeks researching historical details and my eyes are starting to lose the ability to focus. Anything that makes the process easier is a miracle, so thanks.
Good luck with your book, I’m 75% done mine, officially hate all the characters in it and no longer have a social life. I really need to wrap this thing up and rejoin the present. *exhausted sigh*
